my 2001 passat 1.9tdi has 550000km original engine plus original turbo. Has been idling 20-30 min for a 15years still doesnt burn oil

If the engine is running properly should be getting minimal fuel in the oil and if you drive any distance it evaporates from the fuel. That is why they recommend more frequent oil changes with short t

luckily for us its 2025 and for the last 20 years our vehicles have been able to sense atmospheric pressure and engine temperature to adjust fuel injectors to get complete burn
