Probably not enough training on that craft... My question is, though, will the gear in the emergency extension lock in place?or do you need to like pull up a little?To increase the g forces help

When I was a fa we had a hydraulic failure on a 727. The 2nd officer had to remove his seat and hand crank the gear by hand under his seat in the floor.

The standby hydraulic system does not power the landing gear either up or down.

You said the gear is down in 5 seconds, but between decision to deploy and 3 green lights was more than 30 seconds. A long time in an emergency situation with a higher than normal workload, no?

That is a clean wheel well, maybe the landing gear fell on the gear door and the weight of the landing gear would not allow you to release the gear doors? Maybe?

if and when the alternate "freefall"method is needed I'm sure airspeed is a huge factor for the gear to lock in the down position
