i did this for my grandma in 2016, took care of her until her last breath and all i can say is: you got this. years later i can affirm that i do not regret it and i'm stable again, have a job, a home, family around again... you'll be okay, even if it takes a while

We looked after elderly parents for years. Both died in 2023. They were the centre of our world. We will never regret putting them first. They were well loved and still are. V. much missed.No regrets
