Halloween originated from the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, celebrated around November 1st to mark the end of summer and the harvest and the beginning of the dark, cold winter. The Celts believed that on the night before the new year, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred, allowing ghosts to roam the earth. To ward off spirits, they lit bonfires and wore costumes, often made from animal skins. Later, the Christian holiday of All Saints' Day (November 1st) incorporated some of these traditions, and the evening before became known as All Hallows' Eve, which eventually evolved into Halloween.

All days belong to the Lord. "This is the day the Lord hath made.." The enemy may try to lay claim to certain days, but the enemy lost when our Lord and Savior gave His life for our sins and rose again. Don't let the world trick you and celebrate Jesus all days.

Not true... I have done my research on this and is not true. The real origins go back over 2,000 years to the Celtic festival of Samhain, which marked the end of harvest and the beginning of winter. People lit bonfires and wore costumes to scare away evil spirits, not to worship them. There’s zero historical evidence of human sacrifices being part of Samhain or Halloween. That’s a myth spread much later by people who misunderstood ancient traditions. When Christianity spread, the Church replaced those customs with All Hallows’ Eve (the night before All Saints’ Day) to honor the faithful departed, not demons. It was an attempt to Christianize the culture, not join with evil. Modern Halloween is mostly cultural and commercial, candy, costumes, and creativity. For most families, it’s just a time to laugh and have fun together. Evil isn’t in the date or the decorations. It’s in intentions. And a heart filled with faith and light doesn’t need to fear shadows. Darkness can’t touch what’s already covered by God’s grace.

Drop :
1) Halloween started as a harvest ceremony to ward off bad spirits. It had nothing to do with satanic worship. 2) There isn’t a single “night of the year” that has the most human sacrifices today. Human sacrifice is extremely rare worldwide. 3) The most children disappear during the summer months and not around Halloween.
