So my suggestion would be to start with hand feeding. Puppy only eats small amount from your hand at a time. No bowl means nothing to protect.

Start feeding him from your hand every meal, have him do a command before you feed, and make sure he’s eating enough and this will go away.

any dog can do this. my corgi sterted snapping at me if I touched him while he ate. he was a puppy. I started touching him petting him every time he ate to make him no I'm boss

You should never take food away or anything that they are being possessive over You should always add add treats to the bowl and repeat so that they insinuate you as a positive versus someone taking
