If the 36-year-old started saving 10 years prior would they still have a problem buying a house?

I'm 37. Folks forget that Gen-X is also our parents and they too had it a bit better than we do. mine owned property and vehicles at my age and that was the early 2000's. It's crazy to witness and awful to live through. I'll never own property.

Labour is underpaid. It is what makes value possible and yet, workers are not paid accordingly.

As a boomer, I agree that it is much harder to get on the property ladder now than it was when I did in 1988. The only way is if you have parents or grandparents who can help you financially.

Yep doesn’t matter how much I work, the housing prices keep going up and the pay is never enough. I could work 100 hours a week and still not be able to buy. It’s crazy and broken.

My 68 year old mom just learned what inflation was this past year; imagine going through life so effortlessly that this phenomenon never came up in conversation.

the problem is the disparity between rich and poor. the further we go down this road the worse it gets. need to change things quickly and even out the money across everyone

Hearing a boomer tell me to just work harder, when they have a million dollar house they bought for $300,000 in 1998. Causes some rage to come up.
