I'm not one to tell people to tip but in a case like this, you really should bc you are preventing them from making money. It's not fair to the server

Girl! I had a table the other night have two apps, two beers each, and they sat for TWO HOURS! While we had a wait. They left me 10$. 🤬

there's a lot of restaurants nowadays that if you hang out too long they make you buy more food or drink to so-called penalize you for taking up spots for other customers

One time 2 business guys came in with laptops and they sat from 8:30am-2:10pm. We close at 2:30pm. THEY LEFT ME $5 and I absolutely cried🥲

Had a lady come in on a SATURDAY NIGHT, and tell me with her laptop "I'm going to be here awhile is that ok, will that mess with your tips?" she sat there for 2 hours and left $6

I once had one of our regulars come in for a football game he didn’t even order that much be he told me at the beginning he was gonna tip me 20 dollars for every hour he was there he’s been my fav reg

Especially when it’s busy and there is a wait. Like sitting there for like 30 minutes after ok fine. But if your sitting longer than that after finishing that is literally a whole other table or more that the server lost.

During football season i like to go and watch at least one game at a sports bar, it's usually the Sunday noon game, i get there 20 minutes before kickoff and stay until the game is over, i tip $250

I thought I was odd for tipping by the hour more than tipping off the bill if I go in with my husband and we eat $60 worth of food and I’m out in under an hour it’s a $20 tip if it’s 2 hours I do $40
