This can be permeant once it takes hold. It’s also associated with an increased risk of skin cancer. Burns can occur from seat heaters in people with reduced sensation in their legs or buttocks👩🏼‍⚕️ . Next, they can increase scrotal temperature in men. Increased scrotal temperature can impact fertility. Do seat warmers alone reduce fertility? No. But when they’re used by a man who has multiple other heat exposures in his life eg. regular hot tub use, lap top on lap, prolonged sitting etc, then the seat heater can contribute to a cumulative heat exposure than can have an impact on sperm health🩺 . Whilst seat heaters don’t cause haemorrhoids, they may exacerbate them so another thing to be mindful of the next time you hit the on switch🚙 .
