This specific part I’m showing you is about the brother taking full accountability of their crime and that they don’t want their crime to be dismissed or lightened because of their circumstances. Their brothers both take full responsibility for their crime and they try to influence other people not to act out the way they did if they were in a tough situation like they were. The brothers take full accountability for their crime. We can see the brother blame themselves here about not being able to help or protect each one another. Here we can hear Erik talking about how he feels that this whole tragedy was his fault and that he feels guilty that he brought Lyle into this and it’s his fault that Lyle and him was arrested and sent to prison and that he felt extremely guilty and depressed because he couldn’t live with what he had done. And then we also had Lyle have huge guilt for not only his brother but his mother and father. Lyle is Erik’s big brother and a big brother always wants to be able to protect the family or little brother. Lyle felt extremely guilty that he couldn’t rescue Erik in a sense of being free in the real world and he felt truly saddened that he couldn’t protect their family either despite what they went through. Both of the brothers both loved their parents deeply and miss them deeply and there’s not a day that goes by where they don’t regret and feel pain over this horrible tragedy. I hope the brothers know how much love they have and how much support they have and that we’re all rooting for their release. You see criminals not take accountability for their actions and they try to blame it on other situations on their childhood etc, but the brothers did not use the child abuse as an excuse for the crime they both committed. They just stated what happened to them when they were children and why it made this crime happen and why it led them to be deep fear for their lives, they knew and they accepted that they were going to be going to prison and they were okay with that. But 35 years behind bars is more than enough time served due to their circumstances. Their brothers had evidence and new evidence is being revealed its time the world most the truth and it’s time they get at free! Justice must come for the Menendez Brothers !
