In a mixing bowl, combine masa harina, salt and water. Knead until you have a smooth dough. 2. Divide the dough into golf ball-sized portions and flatten each ball into a disk. 3. Boil the pinto beans until tender, with onion and garlic. When the beans are soft, transfer to a blender and blend into a paste. 4. Return to the pan, and fry until it turns into a firm paste. Let it cool down. 5. Add the cheese to the beans and mix until homogeneous. 6. Spoon some of the beans onto the center of one dough disk. 7. Fold the dough over the filling to enclose it completely, forming a stuffed ball. Press down gently to flatten the ball into a thick disk. 8. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the pupusas on the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. 9. Serve hot with salsa and curtido on the side. Enjoy! 💙🤍
