My friend placed her son for adoption. It’s “open” and that means she gets an update on him once a year from the adoptive parents. That’s a realistic open adoption.

que difícil debe de ser para los padres adoptivos estar lidiando con tanta presión al final nunca pudieron criar a Carly como ellos hubiesen querido. Y al final es triste pero Cate y Tyler decidieron.

I think they should work on trying to help change and define what open adoption should mean. Carly will have a relationship with them eventually if she wants it.

It sounds like adults took advantage of children. They were under the impression that it would be open BUT I will say the agreement advised that any communication should be sent to the adoption agency

The original agreement said twice a year updates, they could send Christmas and birthday gifts until age 5. They were sending gifts constantly and nonstop texts. That was never what b/t agreed to
