“Success” is something I’ve always struggled with. I’ve always been drawn to the creative world, but in my family, anything creative was seen as just a hobby. A good job was stable, something that paid. Deep down, I’ve always wanted to pursue a creative career (well, deep down, I don’t want to work, but since I have to choose a job 🥺). Finding the courage wasn’t always easy because I could tell people I’m creative, but how do I prove that? I feel SO grateful now that I’ve reached a point where I can explore and share my creativity. I started this account to express myself, while juggling an office job for the first 2.5 years. Quitting my job was a leap of faith; suddenly, I lost my stable income, and had to navigate visa problems. But, I wanted to feel alive and successful every day, not just on weekends and my 20 vacation days/year (+ “sick leaves” hihi) A lot of you ask how I got started with my current path. Honestly, much of it was blind faith (and ✨Severe Burn Out✨). I have a lot to unlearn; sometimes, I feel like the countless hours spent working on my job don’t count as productive time. I even feel like it’s not a real job as it doesn’t fit society’s traditional definition of a “good job”. I’m still learning, and I doubt myself at every step, but with each passing day, I grow more confident in what I do and my own definition of success. I feel incredibly lucky that today there are so many tools available to help us carve our own career paths. That’s why I’m excited to team up with @semrush , a total-package platform that helps you with anything related to online marketing. I work in social media, and being able to understand data and analytics allows me to run wild with my creativity and spread my humor and message to an even wider audience! Starting a new thing is always scary, especially when you’re blazing your own trail. In these moments, you need the right tools that have your back when it comes to research, data, finding inspiration, and easy workflows - anything you need. When this “techie” part is covered, you can focus more on defining your version of success and crafting your own path. That’s why whatever you make, #makeitwithsemrush!
