Railways and canals coexisted. The lower bridge accommodated canal traffic, while the upper bridge was placed on top of the lower one to provide additional strength for heavy rail loads.

I live here! Moved here in May and had never heard of the place until I viewed my house when I was house hunting. I do this walk and others along a similar route quite often. I never get bored of the views, scenery, viaducts, waterfalls, the Millennium Walkway, etc. It's amazing!

Not sure about this one but there’s another double arch bridge and it’s because the OG bridge was too low when they were building the A road, so they raised it so there wasn’t a massive dip in road
