i bought passat w8 2002 for 1800€ 2014 and did not understand the value of the car and after 2 hours i got a offer 4500€ from a guy in parkinglot of course i sold it directly, no power just only sound

Why is it common knowledge that these are unreliable? Completely untrue. I do all the maintenance on my coworkers w8 and it’s never leaked a drop of oil, and at over 150k never had any issues
