Nah fam AirPods were innovations. They were the first headphones that were truly wireless. Vision Pro came last year was a true innovation.

I would say their SoC in house chips that run their laptops are a very nice innovation. But it definitely isn’t enough

Like with Apple Vision Pro; it tries too hard to differentiate itself from other VR/AR headsets without actually innovating, so developers are better off coding apps for Meta Quest

Phones are like cars now. New car models are released every yr but doesn’t mean you have to buy it. Same thing now with phones. Especially with the price of the phone.

Having worked in corporate marketing I’ve seen this across all industries. Innovation is suffocated in favor of predictability, sales, and marketing.

I remember the era when there was competition amongst cell phone manufacturers. There were three or four big players and their innovation was always exciting. Sadly, that’s pretty much gone now.
