@therayofhopee: Mawlana Hazar Imam has graciously accepted the request of the leaders of the Jamat for the Homage Ceremony to take place in Lisbon on 11 February 2025 to be the Takht-nishini to mark the accession of the 50th Imam of the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims, Mawlana Shah Rahim al-Hussaini Aga Khan. Takht-nishini is a Persian term that means “ascending the throne.” It consists of two words: “takht” referring to “ throne;” and “nishastan,” meaning “to sit ceremonially” or “to ascend.” In the Shiʿi Ismaili tradition, the term refers to the ceremony in which the Imam formally assumes his position. #YaAliMadad #Ismaili #TheIsmaili #Takhtnishini
