The "child" he was messaging turned out to be an Undercover Online Operative (UCOL) who caught the monster red-handed at a physical setup in Paisley. Faced with an unassailable digital paper trail, the beast pleaded guilty to the offences. Sheriff Bruce Erroch KC placed Robert Gallacher on the Sex Offenders Register for life, locking him into the public safety grid ahead of final sentencing next month. The Offender Database UK confirmed that Robert Gallacher was convicted following an intensive public safety operation: Criminal conviction at Paisley Sheriff Court for attempting to meet a 12-year-old girl online for unlawful sexual activity.
