@astro_gs: A mirascope works by using two concave mirrors placed facing each other to create a realistic 3D hologram of an object inside. When light from the object reflects multiple times between the mirrors, it forms an image that appears to float above the opening of the mirascope. This happens because the mirrors focus the light rays in such a way that our eyes perceive them as coming from a real object in space. However, the image is just an optical illusion—while it looks real, it cannot be touched. #amazing #Science #physics
