Pocd means you literally don't want to hurt them. You have a fear of hurting them pretty much

POCD is literally actually a sign that u DO NOT want to hurt kids... OCD goes against who u are as a person, to upset you, ur brain is hurting u on purpose. All my love to these ppl

I hate it. I always wanted kids, then I developed those thoughts and now I'm to scared to think about having children because I couldn't live with myself having these thoughts and having a baby

I've struggled with this, but my brain constantly sends me thoughts of doing things that scare, hurt, disgust, and upset me. it's intrusive thoughts that I don't associate with-

I suffered with POCD for about four years and it was hell on earth. I’m so glad to no longer struggle with those awful intrusive thoughts anymore because even seeing a kid in public made me freak out.

Interactions with my nephews have helped heal from these thoughts! I couldn’t connect with even my own little sister. I don’t talk about my OCD because I’m just starting to get it within therapy.

I don't plan on becoming a mother, and I'm hoping to get a job as a TA in a school soon. anyone have any advice for redirecting the absolutely horrific intrusive thoughts with this?

forms of OCD are all so difficult because it can be irrational and you can understand that and it doesn't matter, it's like all forms of anxiety. I'm an anxious myself, and can't relate specifically.
