Zion Lodge is located inside the park and has everything: fully equipped rooms, balconies with the best views, a gift shop, an on-site restaurant, and a big parking lot. Another great free nature perk is that you can stargaze here because it’s completely dark at night, making it easy to watch the stars. I was lucky to catch the last room for $268 per night the day before arrival, but plan in advance — it’s very popular and always fully booked during peak seasons like spring and fall. Important! Zion Lodge is located in the middle of the shuttle route, where private vehicles are prohibited. But if you stay at the lodge, you’ll have access to drive there. The shuttle station is called "Zion Lodge." The next shuttle stop is where the Angels Landing and Kayenta (for Emerald Pools) trails start. If you plan to do those, this is the best stop.
