This is coming from someone with a puppy. Usually if you let them cry they tire themselves out and fall asleep. If you constantly let them out every time they cry the puppy with cry a lot more cause they know that’s how they get there way

We had our puppy in the living room in a crate for the first week! She cried sooo much but try to ignore and take out every 2 hours. Then we moved her crate into our bedroom after that first week

We put a blanket over our puppies crate! There is nothing wrong with it! He was fine on day 3, just keep strong! Now he willingly goes into his crate to sleep 😊

put the crate by your bed and a blanket over it, and whenever your puppy cries stick your fingers in the crate or put your hand on top of the crate to let them know you are there, THIS SAVED ME

the first nights with My Puppy, i Let her sleep wherever, yes it was a mess bv she wasnt poate trained at 8 Weeks Yet but at like 9-10 Weeks i put a cat litter with a potty pad infront of her crate Till she understood she shouldnt poop în her crate, at 3-4 months she was already potty trained and didnt need the pads anymore! tipp: i put her crate in a Corner of My Bedroom so that she cant get Out of the crate and her litter infront. hope this helps to anyone!

i had a puppy and she did the same thing and putting that blanket over the cage makes her more scared i recommend to cuddle her for a bit in her cage and let her feel like she can be safe there

I have a puppy cocker spaniel and I used to put the blanket over but she just gets more scared and wants to see where I am but now I've let her come out of her crates at night and that's help

I used to sit on the floor w/ my back to the crate then slowly move away and if he cried I’d pause then continue. It took a while but now he goes in and sleeps/naps everyday and night. He’s 10 months

We are still struggling but it got a lot better since the first night. during the day I trained him patting on the mat inside the crate and rewarding him every time he lay down on it.
