Last Sunday, we were able to have the Maiden Flight of our 3D Printed UAV - The Airdrop 1200 Twin-boom Fixed-Wing Aircraft for Payload Delivery. This is our group’s final project for our Aircraft Design and Aircraft Flight Mechanics courses as Aerospace Engineering undergraduates at Ateneo de Davao University. From the simulation, to modeling the airframe in XPlane Planemaker and SolidWorks, to 3D Printing the parts up to the assembly and systems integration, it was a collective effort from our group. It was really a whole different experience seeing our sem-worth of hardwork finally paying off!
