@barnardco: 👨⚕️ Here’s how to draw a one colour face logo. Heads up, it’s not as easy as it looks. This project for @Dr Steven Batash took a lot of back and forth, but we got there in the end! #graphicdesign #illustratortips #illustrator #photoshop #logodesign #silhouette #casestudy #designtok
That is indeed labour intense way to draw vectors. I recommend to take a look at Von Glitschka’s book, Vector Basic Training. You would had traced this in minutes had you had an efficient system 😅

next time, use the threshold adjustment layer in Photoshop and use dodge, burn and blur tools on the layer below to add or remove detail where needed. Gives you much more instant control, then trace the result.

Good job! I hated doing editorial cartoons that involved recognizable people, one thing out and it is off. It looks great! Did you fill your swear jar? (mine fills up quickly on this days 🤣)

The double window trick is classic. It’s been a useful trick in both ps and ai. Glad you shared this to everyone

Thanks for this James, people keep asking me how and I keep putting off making a video so i’ll just send everyone to this! Also have they changed the smooth tool? Mine doesn’t work as accurate as it

I don’t think this is the first time you’ve mentioned that Tile Window view and it blows my mind every time … and yet I still forget to use it. Saving this video as a reminder now!!
