Oh, our sweet Toni girl. Toni was discovered at a livestock sale barn, reported to be wandering the grounds for days. Attendees poured dog food out and informed us of her presence. We went to save horses, but would never leave her behind. Thankfully, our network at PGP helped secure a Texas foster for her. Toni has since moved to our small Wisconsin grass roots rescue facility and is being fostered with one of the best with occasional day programming at our head quarters. Toni is a beautiful, gently, kind soul. She appears to be a catahoula/Great Dane/mountain cur mix but of course as a rescue, we can only guess as to what her unique genetics are. What we do know is she is hilarious, a little clumsy, and LOVES her people. She is a tad shy at first, but warms up quickly. Toni will do best in a home prepared to welcome an eighty-pound, blanket stealing lap dog… because that is one of her favorite things to do. Since being rescued Toni has learned she enjoys going for nature walks, playing with toys, and leaning her body on everyone she meets. She is docile and gentle in everything she does. Toni is estimated to be about two years old and does well with other dogs.
