I started thinking of electricity as less of a flow and more of a calculation. How quickly can the atoms in a material flip between positive and negative, how many atoms are available, and how fast the pressure is to change state. It's more of a calculation or operation than a "flow"

What do you mean "some schools"? We all have to teach conventional current because the the current must be in the same direction as the electric field. Inconvenient, I know.

Basic understanding, that later you learn is not really right. Put a cable under water and it doesn't work. Since the electricity is actually a field AROUND THE WIRE. The wire is a facilitator.
