@oh_nippon: A yōkai that looks like a lump of flesh with no real face but has some wrinkles and folds of fat that may resemble one. The same goes for its limbs. It's considered a type of Noppera-bō, a faceless yōkai we already featured before. In 1609, a blob of flesh resembling a child was sighted in the courtyard of Sunpu Castle. Tokugawa Ieyasu 徳川 家康 lived at that castle during that time, so it was well guarded. Hence, the only conclusion they could draw was it was a yōkai. They tried to capture the intruder, but it was so agile that they gave up and settled to just drive it out of the castle into the mountains. The Nuppeppō are known to aimlessly wander in the dead of night and are generally harmless, but my goodness, do they stink like rotting flesh! However, it's believed that those who manage to eat the flesh of the Nuppeppō gain eternal youth. But err... Will you dare eat some? That's if you can catch one! Till next time.
