Working in Orange County, Southern California in the 1980's forward. 998 or 999 was the worst call sign you could ever hear. An officer was fighting for his life at that exact moment! Sickening call!

I attended a school shooting training scenario and it genuinely sent me chills hearing dispatch "Shots fired. ####### High School. All available units respond code 3. Several casualties reported on scene. Unknown injuries." and even tho it was a training situation, you can still hear it in the dispatchers voice and the eyes of the officers and deputies training
