Unfortunately, we have to be mindful of our own desires and emotional challenges when raising a puppy. It’s too easy to get caught up in “cute” behavior and allow things that will inevitably become problematic later on. Here’s are some tips to go along with the video: 1. Use a leash to prevent wandering and use a crate or ex-pen when unable to supervise. 2. Ignore your puppy when you come home for a few minutes until they are calm and settled. Do the same with guests. 3. Give your puppy frequent periods of alone time throughout the day. Not just when you leave the house, but even while you’re home.
