The way im already thinking about making this again 🤤 Turkish Pide 🫶🏼 Recipe ⬇️ Dough: 1 & 1/4 cup water 1 tsp instant yeast 1 tsp sugar 3 cups AP flour 1 tsp salt 1.5 tbsp olive oil Meat topping: Ground beef 1/2 small spinach onion 1/2 green bell pepper 1/2 red bell pepper Bunch of parsley 1 tbsp tomato + red pepper paste 1/2 finely chopped tomato 1 tsp paprika 1 tsp red pepper flakes 1/2 tsp black pepper 1/2 tsp Salt 1 tbsp olive oil Mozzarella cheese Akawai cheese Sujuk (meat sausage) Shishito peppers 1 egg (whisked, for egg wash) Sesame seeds & black seeds (optional) Cornmeal 2-3 tbsp Melted butter Fresh parsley (garnish) Baking instructions + tips: Bake at 495 degrees f for 8-14 minutes (until crust has colour). If you bake on a higher temperature, reduce baking time. *Place an oven safe baking tray on the base of your oven and heat your oven at the highest bake temperature for at least 1 hour before baking. Mine went up to 495 degrees f and I let it heat up for 2 hours before baking my pide. *use a thin cutting board wrapped in aluminum foil dusted with corn meal to help transfer your pide from the countertop to the oven. Another option would be to build your pide over a sheet of parchment paper and transfer the pide to the oven with the parchment paper (though this may result in less browning on the bottom crust)
