@poedintical: Maybe it was right to move on from Poppy War by reading this book, but on the other hand, this book added another cut (that will always bleed) within me. THIS BOOK DESTROYED ME EMOTIONALLY. I don't know... this book is probably less gruesome than The Poppy War, but to me it's more devastating. I don't know, maybe because I could relate to Robin and his cohorts at some point. As a literature student myself (who also learned translation during my years), I also find the diction and the implementation of Translation on Silver-work very fascinating. This book also resonates with reality (the colonialism, greed, social inequality). This book is a solid 6/5 from me. "It took witnessing it in person for me to realize all the abstraction were real.
