It forces you to face the work, the unknowns, the fear of “what if this doesn’t go well?” So you wait… for motivation to magically appear. But motivation isn’t the cause of action—it’s the result of action. Here’s what actually works: ✅ Lower the bar. Instead of thinking “I need to finish,” think “I’ll work on this for 5 minutes.” ✅ Move before you think. Count down from 5 and start. Don’t let your brain talk you out of it. ✅ Create momentum first. Do the simplest part of the task—opening the document, writing one sentence, setting up your workspace. Getting started is the hardest part. But once you take that first step, you won’t need motivation—you’ll have momentum.
