#pov : in the corner of your eye lies a silhouette, a blur of black hair and sharp facial features. awfully hard not to notice, when jeo’s standing so close—gazing at you so intently. waiting for you to say something. you bit your lower lip when a smile tugged at the corner of your lips, jeo was just standing there—all while you typed at the keys of your laptop, trying to focus on your work. pero tao ka lang naman, walang magawa kundi ialay ang sarili sa tukso. seeing him from your peripheral vision shifting from foot to foot, you turned your head. there he stands, tired eyes trailing over your facial features, before falling down to the floor. something about it makes you want to coo—almost like he was a little flustered. fidgeting with his hands, wringing his long fingers together, so patiently waiting for your attention to fall on him. “jeo?” the gentleness of your tone only made him bite his inner cheeks, ears turning red, and a slight pout slipping into the curve of his lips. “okay ka lang ba?” the mere sight of you, all cozied up on the couch; legs crossed and the laptop balanced on your lap. for a moment, jeo wished that he was the one who’s laying on your lap. he cleared his throat before opening his mouth, “anong ginagawa mo?” mahinhin niyang tanong. you hummed, “essay lang, patapos naman na ako.” then you lazily scrolled through the text. jeo silently nodded, causing you to look at him again. “may kailangan ka ba?” jeo stilled, absentmindedly fidgeting with the hem of his sweater. the silence lingered in the air, contemplation was seen on his face—until he cleared his throat. he has been a little stressed lately. more so than usual. and you’ve noticed, of course you have—worriedly waiting for him to approach you, to let you help. “p’wedeng…” he started slowly, as if trying to swallow the embarrassment. “payakap?” you couldn’t help the grin that crawled up to your lips, lifting your fist to hide your lips, “ang cute mo.” agad niyang iniwas ang tingin sa’yo, murmuring half-hearted complaints as he hid his eyes on his hand. when a chuckle pushed past from your lips, the redness on his ears to neck only seemed to spread. you closed your laptop, not wasting any time. “syempre p’wede.” you rest your head against the cushion before extending your arms, beckoning him close with a teasing smile on your lips. jeo still seemed flustered as he crawled along the couch, taking his rightful place in your embrace. flopping down on top of you with a sigh, feeling safe and content. you cooed, a soft groan slipped from jeo’s lips when your hand goes to the back of his head, nails raking over his scalp. “ang baby,” bulong mo bago hinalikan ang noo niya, mas lalo niyang dinikit ang mukha sa leeg mo. “may problema ba?” umiling siya, “miss lang kita.” after hearing his words, you hoped that jeo will not notice the rapid rhythm of your heartbeat. “i missed you, too.” you mumbled, softly combing his hair. “sorry kung napapabayaan kita.” jeo pressed a light kiss on your neck before raising his head to look at you, “huwag ka mag-isip ng ganyan, ayos lang ako.” your hand went to cup his face, thumb smoothing over his cheekbone. and then you were leaning in, to press your lips against his forehead. “i really… do love you,” you professed, “i love everything about you.” jeo smiled boyishly, suddenly leaning down to your face that made your heart jump. before you knew it, he placed a kiss on your nose to your cheek. “mahal din kita,” he hummed, pride swelled in his chest when he saw the red tint of your face. “mahal na mahal. sobra.” all you can do is to stare, almost forgetting how to breathe. you half-heartedly frowned at him, “bawal mong gawin ‘yon nang hindi ako handa, paano na pag sumabog puso ko?” jeo giggled like a child before turning his head to the side, laying on your chest again. he had no choice but to bask in it; the feeling of your hands in his hair, nails on his scalp, skin to skin—the change you’ve brought into his life. #jeoong #jeremiahong #ongfam #fyp
