nope that doesnt work. a plain “ok.” with no emotion is what works best. even if you dont agree. say “ok” and stare at them without smiling, crying, looking scared or anything. trust me it works and its foolproof

As someone who dealt with a few narcissists, this is so wrong. The way to win is to go completely silent. Answering IS reacting. They will twist it. Refusing to engage is NOT engaging at all. I learned this the hard way with my ex and after 5 years, I gave him the silent treatment and it drove him crazy. Never give them way to twist anything. Silence is key.
