overmedicated it took us 7 years to finally get our pediatrician to say our son has ADHD so he could get the help he needs from school.

I have both and meds did not help me. I think better meds need to be explored so they can have a better impact with less negative sode effects that require meds to address side effects.

We have more people diagnosed because we are getting better at diagnosing autism definitely. I do agree there are some people diagnosed with ADHD that are not but I don’t think it is very high.

I barely passed grad school due to undiagnosed ADHD, getting on stimulants made me understand simple concepts that before were very hard to understand. And I went on to be in the top of my class

Got diagnosed AuDHD at 29. I’m 32 now. I’ve been well medicated on my stimulant and non stimulant since then. I will die if it’s taken away 😕

Although I do worry about this, I really feel like sooo many Doctors will step in and say ....nah, bro. Too many docs know the impact of these meds on their pts. but I don't have much faith in DC.

Look it up :
My daughter was not tested until she was in college at 16 because she was so high performing and I kick myself for not getting her help sooner. The depression that untreated ADHD causes is unreal.

I was incredibly lucky to be diagnosed with ADHD when I was 10&got on medication! My child psychologist even said I was one of the most severe cases of ADHD he’d ever seen. Medication has helped me

as an adult who didn't get diagnosed until a couple years ago when I was 40 this is horrible. I wish I would have got help as a child. it was always just, she's talkative, creative or a little hyper.

My guess is they want more eligible young people for the future military. Less disqualifying conditions = more enlisted young people

My daughter has inattentive ADHD and Ritalin saved her in the first grade. I don’t know where she would have ended up without it

I was diagnosed and medicated at 36. The past 2 years have been like I can finally breathe and my eyes are open. I don't think I could go back to be unmedicated for both adhd & depression.
