I'm sooo stinking tired of ppl calling my bio mom my mom or real mom. I love her and she's great but she's not my real mom. ughhhhhh. or other Facebook adoptee groups acting like they were trafficked.

As an adoptee, I agree 10000%. When my mom died, I was only 24 and people actually said “so are you gonna find your real mom now?” That WAS my “real” mom!

Step mom here ✋ I raised my 3 step children without their bio mom being in the picture. I AM MOM. She's not... I was the one that potty trained, stayed up all night when they were sick. Celebrated birthdays and mile stones big and small. I may not have given birth to them, but those are my babies. I will do anything tm for those kids.

I refer to my birth parents as my Bios (biological parents) and I call them by their first names. My adoptive parents are my real parents and I call them Mom and Dad.

We adopted our grandson. At first we were Mimi and Papa. Then this boy at 5 looked me in my eyes and said can I call you Mommy. I said you call me what you feel comfy with. I have been Mom now for almost 4 years. He even told me well you do take care of me. Yes baby and I always will.

From a different perspective,my 1st Dad died when I was 6. I don’t call my 2nd Dad who died when I was 32 my “step dad”!THEY WERE BOTH my Dad’s!❤️🩹🙏🏼Nobody has the RIGHT to define my family!💝🥰

Exactly how I feel. I have to children I’ve adopted, I am their real mom. Birth parents are biological or birth but I am Mom.
