as an engineer, don't question it. it's carrying most likely a load bearing wall, floor joists and new roof. you are a builder, the engineer is taking all the risk of design. if in doubt ask.

I hate steel day. That’s a great bit of kit. Engineers that spec beams like that should be made to fit them.

Totally agree 3x genie lifts for our almost 1100kg steel. 137 steel at 8m wish we had one of this but the access was not great due to mud so had hiab. looks like a proper job nice work!

😳 that beam for the sliding doors!?!?!? How many aircraft carriers does that one need to support? It makes that basement beam look like a toothpick. That is an insane waste of money.
