“You may not be in the season you wanted, but you can still trust the God who holds every season.” Sometimes we become anxious because we want to know when things will change. When will the pain end? When will the prayer be answered? When will the opportunity come? When will I finally feel okay? Ecclesiastes reminds us that life is made up of different seasons—and not every season is meant to last forever. There is: * a time to weep and a time to laugh * a time to mourn and a time to dance * a time to keep and a time to let go * a time to be silent and a time to speak * a time to plant and a time to harvest ❤️ For someone who is hurting “Maybe you are in a season you never asked for. But being in a difficult season does not mean that God has abandoned you. There is a time for this season, and there will also be a time for another season. You don’t have to understand everything today. Sometimes faith simply means trusting God one day at a time.” And Ecclesiastes 3:11 gives another powerful thought: “He has made everything beautiful in its time.” Notice the words: “in its time.” Not necessarily according to our time. We often pray, “Lord, make it beautiful now.” But God may be saying, “Trust Me with the process.” A painful chapter may not make sense while we’re living in it. But we can trust that the Author sees the whole story while we only see the page we’re currently on. 🕊️ A chaplain’s reflection “Don’t judge your whole life by the season you’re currently experiencing. Winter is not the whole year. A difficult season is not the whole story. If today is a season of tears, let yourself cry. If today is a season of waiting, allow yourself to wait. If today is a season of healing, give yourself permission to heal. You don’t have to rush God’s timing or compare your season with someone else’s. God is present in every season.” And perhaps this can connect beautifully with your earlier reflection about discipleship: Information can tell us that God has a plan. Discipleship teaches us to trust Him even when we don’t understand the plan. That is one of the beautiful lessons of Ecclesiastes 3: we may not control the seasons, but we can learn to walk with God through them. #trusttheprocess #pastoralpsychotherapy &chaplaincy #sharejesuslove🫶
