Altaria's jump from 2D to 3D is one of the absolute dirtiest

Like most Hoenn pokemon, Altaria’s line has aged so well. I love its design and battle prowess.

I think it gets the cotton guard move, which gives +3 defense in one turn which is insane

Designs I think should only be judged from their original because 3D has unanimously made every Pokémon look worse lol

Prophet of Bara :
Altaria is a very cool Dragon type, it doesn't really fit the stereotype of a dragon pokemon and I always thought it's Fairty addition for it's mega fits so well too

As a kid playing Ruby and Sapphire (the best Pokemon games), I didn’t even know Altaria had wings. I thought it flew -because- it was a cloud.

Your availability didn’t take into account Altria is available very late in B2 & W2

Teddy Dangles :
A personal must on any Hoenn run for me - I recognize Swellow as the better pure bird, but Altaria has the coverage I desire and its design is my fave of all gen 3 (sans Rayquaza).

When we get to sinnoh it is going to be crazy

Matthew Blake :
The way I see it, if the Pokémon was designed in 2D, chances are a 3D version won’t look good. If it came out post gen 6, it looks more natural in 3D.

I will be very serious when I say this. But Alteria is G O D. G O D.

Don’t forget about it getting Cotton Guard. Getting +3 Defense in one turn is crazy
