Even if you disagree with their pov, it's always interesting to understand their "why". Tells you so much about them & their motivators. You also might learn something new. Listen more than you talk.

I’m AuDHD with many of the traits and challenges you describe. I have learnt to curb showing my curiosity in the workplace, as so often colleagues or managers misinterpret it as criticism.

And this is true in children too right? I was a very curious child and I have an IQ of 145. My step daughter gets quite good grades, but is never curious and doesn’t want to learn new things.

I still feel like I've been putting up box my whole life I've always dreamed of being in like a think tank redesigning things and making things and building things . but I don't have much of an outlet and I'm really disabled now with a lot of body problems and my medical needs . and most likely I would have more medical accommodations needed then the company would want to provide.

I int know what counts as "highly" intelligent. I've always had good numbers of really smart people around me, so I feel pretty average. but so many of the traits you describe seem to fit.

My Dr and I get into conversations about things and his nurse has to cut us off so he can stay in schedule :) I find it fun to find people who can relate to me like that.

My Dad once told me,"You're interested in everything" and basically, my ( now EX) isn't and I shouldn't talk about thus and such. 😡
