this is how monster hunter always was though, some monsters are weaker to slashing, some blunt, and some piercing. now add their elements or ailment weaknesses and you'll have an easier time

Jokes on you, I've played IG for so long that I don't know how to move and dodge and play safe without jumping. Feels like the best for all monsters for me

That ideology works in souls, you just slap on the right tools for the puzzle disguised as a boss, but monster takes build crafting and very unique play styles and most will just suffer the difficulty
