Weekly cardio session ✅ But seriously. These are absolutely brutal and definitely a major mental challenge. When starting out with these, traditionally you want to start off with a weight that’s roughly 70% of your one rep max (1RM). While it’s almost impossible to do this without any pausing, you can rest at the top as long as you need to continue the set. It’s not unusual for a single set to last more than two minutes with how long rest times are between each grindy rep. This set took me a little over a minute to do. Depth could have been better, but I was roughly hitting parallel with each rep. I do enough full ROM mobility work that not hitting parallel here isn’t that much of an issue, since the only purpose of this is building muscle. If you’re a beginner, this probably isn’t a good idea to do, but if you’ve been lifting for at least a year and are familiar with squats and have good technique, give it a shot. . . . #bodybuilding #gym #legday #squats #zercher
