@los.indiosbravos12: After a heated argument about leadership with Marcelo H. Del Pilar, Rizal returned to the Philippines and founded the La Liga Filipina in July 3, 1892 at the house of Doroteo Ongjunco who is a member of the Masonic lodge “Logia Lusong no. 185” located in Ylaya, Tondo. objectives were to: 1. unite the entire archipelago for the good of all; 2. help in the protection of everyone in times of need 3. aid against all forms of violence and injustice; 4.encourage enthusiasm snd support for education, agriculture. The Spaniards feared that the La Liga was a dangerous organization, and that it might topple the government. On July 6, 1892, Governor-General Eulogio Despujol had Rizal arrested. He also ordered Rizal's exile to Dapitan in northern Zamboanga, the following day. The organization lasted only for several months.
