It is so easy to make and is packed with a rich mix of enticing flavors thanks to a savory tomato sauce infused with spices like paprika and cumin. oh, and let me not forget my favorite part to this dish - the gooey, runny eggs! so much goodness in each bite!!  what you’ll need: • 2 tbsp olive oil • 1 medium onion, chopped  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped  • 4 garlic cloves, minced  • 1 tsp smoked paprika  • 1/2 tsp cumin • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper, optional  • 1 (28-ounce can) whole peeled tomatoes  • 2 tbsp tomato paste • 5-6 large eggs • salt and pepper, to taste • 1 small bunch fresh cilantro or parsley, finely chopped • toasted sliced bread, for serving here’s how to make it: heat oil in a large skillet under medium heat. add the bell pepper, onion and garlic. sauté for 4-5 min or until mixture becomes soft and translucent. reduce heat to medium-low. mix in the tomato paste and spices and cook for 1 min. pour in the whole tomatoes and juice into the pan. use a large spoon or masher to break down the tomatoes. season with salt and pepper and bring the sauce to a simmer for 10-12 min or until it starts to thicken. use a large spoon to make wells in the sauce. add an eggs into each well. cover pan with lid and cook for 5-7 min or until the eggs are done to your liking. garnish with chopped cilantro or parsley. serve with toasted bread. enjoy! #shakshuka #Recipe #breakfastrecipes #cooking #breakfastidea
