there's a prop plane that did this and gear did in fact go up.. student pilot mistook call for flaps and pulled gear and oooooooppppppppppss

i think on most planes the hydraulics just don't cut it if there's weight on wheels. they'd have to move the entire plane off the ground which with the size of the pistons just doesn't work

I have seen a an airbus 321 in PHL pop a wheelie a few years ago , b/c the ramp was off loaded the front 1st when they should have started with the back ..

on a KC135 the nose gear has been raised on the ground numerous times. Lots of sheet metal repair.
