For the disposal, add ice and lemon wedges and run it, ice will sharpen the blades lemon makes it smell good. Also you can try baking soda and vinegar

my mom trick is that I rinse the dishes right after use then leave them in the sink. when I come back it takes no time at all to put them in the dishwasher
