The lack of 4 piece might be due to the bad luck number. In the Netherlands you can get 6, 9 or 20 pcs. 4 pcs is the happy meal version

in Australia our nuggets come in a 3 (more recently) or 6 (most common) but we now have 10 pieces. back when I worked at McDonalds in the early 2000s here in Aus we did 6 or 9 piece

Some misconceptions: 1st McDonald in Wuhan had Apple and Pineapple pies, Taro came in as a temp item but later replaced Apple pie. KFC has more restaurants because they go beyond t2 cities.

The taro pie!!! I was lucky enough to study abroad in 2010 and while I often miss hotpot and jianbing, I dream about the taro pie at McDonalds.

The prices for the American 4 piece keep going up. I paid $5 for it the other day, which is crazy because a few years ago you could get a 20 piece for that price.
