I was taking off on an air Canada flight from Toronto as this delta flight was crash landing. I can tell you it was the scariest flight of my entire life and I fly multiple times a month.

As an aviation expert, I would like to add that a huge key in successfully landing the CRJ-900 is to make sure that the wheels are on the ground at the time of landing instead of up in the air.

A passenger was questioned on CNN. He described the landing as hard, then sliding, then flipped on its side, still sliding and then rolled onto its back.
