Our recommendation is to try to go on the shoulder season if you can (but be prepared weather may not be ideal). This would be May/June or September. Of course July and August are the warmest times but are also the busiest. If you can only go in July/August still go!! Yellowstone is a place you want to see at least once in your life! Plan to visit for 1 week if possible.
