My family came in the 60's , Britain was predominantly white, when immigrants were moving into predominantly white areas, the whites left because they could not stand that immigrants, yet my family is blamed not to integrate.

The funny thing is no one wanted to rent houses to Asians now Asians are the landlords. We became property owners out of necessity, tried to break us but we became more successful.

They don’t understand but see no issue with “ex-pats” creating British areas in Spain, opening pubs and cafs serving fish and chips and fry ups and not bothering to learn Spanish.

Truth. Similar happened when folk came from the Caribbean in the 50/60s, they were met with hate and only slumlords would rent to them - communities stuck together for safety
