Hiked the rim-to-rim Grand Canyon trail with my brothers! Can't say thank you enough to my brothers @ryanmcrider and @trentcrider for showing up for this hike. We all live in different parts of the world. And I decided on a long shot to ask them to join me to hike from one side of the Grand Canyon to the other. And both of them booked a flight right away! (haha I didn't even tell them the plan or any details and they both said they'd join.) But the trip wouldn't be complete without my hero, my mom. Just like my brothers, before I could tell her the details, she was in on the trip! She drove the entire width of the canyon to pick us up on the other end. We were able to all watch the sunrise on the North and South Rim together which were really special times. Funny story: When I was 12, my family was on a trip out west. We had the option of driving north to ski in Utah or South to see the Grand Canyon. Us boys wanted to ski and my mom never got to see the Grand Canyon. But finally, 21 years later, we all got to see the Grand Canyon together. It's been 9 years since my dad passed away and I still miss him and think about him most days. But so thankful for the incredible families that God has blessed me and Em with. Each one of them has prayed for and encouraged Em and I so much in every step of our journey to every country. We could have never had the experiences we've had without their encouragement. Really thankful for such incredible families and this time to hike the Grand Canyon together!
